AEC Tech 2018 is the sixth annual event and a four-day experience for professionals in the AEC industry and more! We are proud to present the 2018 theme, Interpolations, focusing on the injection of innovative processes, technologies, and workflows that are rerouting the way the industry works, designs, and thinks.
The Hackathon will last 26-hours from Saturday, October 27th to Sunday, October 28th at the Thornton Tomasetti midtown office. AEC Tech’s Hackathon is an event for all levels of programmers, developers, engineers and others, additionally, it is aimed for attendees to collaborate, network, build new relationships, and generate new ideas and processes for the AEC community.

Awarded to the most INNOVATIVE, MIND-BENDING application! The most groundbreaking idea that cleverly uses technology.
BEST OPEN-SOURCE PRODUCT
Awarded to the best use of EXISTING accessible technologies and APIs. Most CREATIVE to generate a valuable concept by utilizing one or more existing application.
BEST COLLABORATION
Awarded to the most COLORFUL team comprised of NEW connections and friends.

How technically was impressive the hack? Was the technical problem the team tackled difficult? Did you find a new use for, or leverage, an existing piece of technology? Did the technology involved make you go "Wow"? -
Innovation
How innovative and groundbreaking was the idea? Did it use a particularly clever technique or did it use many different components? -
Open-source
Does your project live on GitHub/Bitbucket? Is it open? Did you leverage other great techniques that already exist? We encourage you to develop an app that can easily be used by others. -
Learning
Did the team stretch themselves? Did they try to learn something new? Which technologies/APIs/products/methods did you use, that you didn't know before? -
Teamwork & Collaboration
We encourage you to have colorful teams. As such we will give points for teams that are not solely formed of coworkers. After all, we want to use this time to make new connections too.
